Hakeem Jeffries Accuses Home Republicans Of Attempting To ‘Cowl Up For The Pedophiles’

Home Minority Chief Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) accused congressional Republicans and the Trump administration of making an attempt to “cowl up for the pedophiles” after Home Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) denied a connection between the delay to swear in a newly elected Democratic consultant from Arizona and a petition that will power a full Home vote on the discharge of extra information about Jeffrey Epstein, the late convicted intercourse offender.

Whereas showing on MSNBC’s “The Briefing” on Wednesday, host Jen Psaki requested Jeffries concerning the stalled swearing-in of Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who has beforehand vowed to signal the discharge petition concerning the so-called Epstein information. The petition is led by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.).

“Everyone knows she’s the 218th vote for the discharge petition,” Psaki instructed Jeffries in discussing Grijalva. “I assume you don’t purchase that in any respect.”

“We don’t purchase it in any respect,” Jeffries responded.

“And everyone knows that is concerning the Epstein information and the truth that Republicans on the hill for months have been doing Donald Trump’s bidding and making an attempt to cover these Epstein information from the American folks, however the truth that the victims have referred to as for full transparency so there might be accountability,” he instructed Psaki. “And we absolutely assist these courageous victims.”

Regardless of stress from Arizona lawmakers to swear in Grijalva — who gained in a particular Home election in Arizona’s seventh congressional district in September — Johnson has denied that the delay is said to her impending signature on the petition, saying she will probably be sworn in when the Home isagain in session.

Jeffries wasn’t finished slamming Johnson and the GOP on Wednesday.

“Mike Johnson and this group proceed to cowl up for the pedophiles. That’s loopy. And as you identified, Consultant-elect Adelita Grijalva was going to be a terrific member succeeding her legendary dad within the Congress, a progressive champion,” Jeffries continued.

Jeffries then stated that Grijalva’s dedication to signing the petition is “why Republicans have been on trip for the final a number of weeks.”
