The Light Barn hosted what it billed as a pre-meal celebration of turkeys Thursday on the Santa Clarita animal sanctuary. Rescued gobblers and hens roamed whereas guests to the six-acre unfold have been in a position to pet and feed them.

The sanctuary, based in 1999, hosts the occasion, referred to as “A Light Thanksgiving,” yearly. The positioning at present hosts almost 200 rescued animals. Along with turkeys, residents embody cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, llamas and emus. Supporters can sponsor the animals and go to them on Sundays when the barn is open to the general public; tickets are $27.03 for these 13 and older and $16.22 for ages 2 to 12.
