Following this weekend’s WWE Backlash 2026 in Tampa, the next major premium live event for the Stamford-based promotion is the Clash in Italy. The PLE will emanate outside the United States of America at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, on May 31.

Triple H and his creative crew have already been building the card for the next PLE. From Monday Night RAW, fans will see all the pieces slowly come together as the company has three editions of each weekly show heading into the first-ever WWE PLE in Italy.

Thanks for the submission!

However, before that, let’s get some pieces together on paper by ourselves. In this listicle, we will predict the full match card for the Clash in Italy premium live event later this month.

#5. Seth Rollins and the Street Profits vs. the Vision

The Visionary collided with Bron Breakker on Saturday night at Backlash, but he fell short of beating him despite delivering a strong performance. The interference from Logan Paul and Austin Theory played a major part in diverting the former World Heavyweight Champion from his game plan, which cost him the grudge match against the multi-time Intercontinental Champion.

To get revenge on The Vision, Seth Rollins needs to get rid of the numbers game, and The Street Profits are behind the World Tag Team Championship, which is currently held by Paul and Theory.

That said, to eliminate the common enemies, Rollins might form a temporary alliance with The Street Profits, and they might get a six-man tag team match at Clash in Italy: Seth and The Street Profits vs. The Vision.

#4. Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill (Women’s Championship Match)

The ex-Judgment Day member landed back in the main-event title picture this year quickly, as she won the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber match and earned her shot at then-WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill at WrestleMania Sunday.

Mami headed into the Granddaddy of Them All with a perfect game plan, and despite Michin and B-Fab by The Storm’s side, she managed to beat her and capture the Women’s Championship.

Jade Cargill made her shocking return to the company on the go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown before Backlash and targeted Ripley, sending a clear message that she is not done with her.

On the blue brand, Ripley teamed up with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to collide against The Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid).

The bout was going perfectly until Cargill showed up out of nowhere and pulled Mami down and attacked her, preventing her from getting tagged in when Bliss needed it. Jacy took advantage of it and leveled Alexa and captured a big win for herself and her crew.

After the match, Cargill, alongside Michin and B-Fab, targeted Charlexa and Ripley. It appears that the upcoming Jade-Rhea saga will get more intense, and Nick Aldis could end up booking a rematch between them at the upcoming PLE.

#3. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio II (Steel Cage Match)

The Prince was kicked out of the Judgment Day faction on the Road to WrestleMania 42, and he even faced Dominik Mysterio in a singles match at the Showcase of the Immortals with his Demon King persona. He captured a big win over the AAA Mega Champion.

However, the rivalry between Finn Balor and the Judgment Day is not over, as he has been getting involved with them even now and was even trying to get in touch with Roxanne Perez.

The Judgment Day saga may turn more personal and intense in the coming week, and the bad blood between Mysterio and Balor might reach its boiling point, and WWE could book them for Clash in Italy in a major stipulation match. To avoid any interference attempt, Adam Pearce may add a Steel Cage stipulation to their rematch.

#2. Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther (Undisputed WWE Championship Match)

The American Nightmare, despite being a massive underdog heading into the match against Randy Orton, retained his title at WrestleMania 42. However, after their match, the Apex Predator snapped at the Prodigal Son, hinting that their saga has not ended yet.

Many thought that the Orton-Rhodes rivalry would be continued post-Mania, but it is not the case, as The Viper has not been seen on television since his loss at the Showcase of the Immortals. But Cody has a massive challenge in front of him in the face of Gunther.

The Ring General is after Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed Championship and wants to wrap the gold around his waist. This week on SmackDown, The American Nightmare and The Career Killer agreed to collide while The Prodigal Son was ready to throw hands the same night.

Paul Heyman, who owes the Austrian star a favor, said he has a contract for an Undisputed Championship match between the two at Clash in Italy. In the coming weeks, WWE might officially announce the same match for PLE.

#1. Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed (WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match)

The OTC made his first successful World Heavyweight Championship defense tonight at Backlash against Jacob Fatu.

He was later attacked by the Samoan Werewolf, who was infuriated by his loss. Adam Pearce, alongside other officials and security personnel, had to intervene to separate the Tribal Wolf from the Tribal Chief.

In a post-match interview, Roman Reigns made it clear that this would be Fatu’s final night in the company. Pearce could suspend the former United States Champion for crossing the line and attacking The OTC after the match, breaching a major rule.

This would not leave Reigns without an opponent. WWE would surely book Roman for Clash in Italy, as he is half-Italian through his mother. Bronson Reed was the last man to pin The OTC, and he has been teasing his return for quite some time and has also taken some shots at Tribal Chief in recent weeks.

On his return to RAW in the next two weeks, Reed could lock his eyes on the gold and challenge Reigns for a match at Clash in Italy. The promotion could book their match, which could end in a no-contest with Jacob Fatu attacking Roman mid-match, creating a perfect scenario rather than building the same repeated patterns.
