Miami Warmth All-Star middle Bam Adebayo mentioned he “feels fantastic” after leaving Monday night time’s preseason loss at Atlanta with a knee contusion.

Adebayo, 28, departed within the third quarter, ending with 13 factors and 9 rebounds in 19 minutes in a 119-118 extra time loss to the Hawks.

Warmth coach Erik Spoelstra mentioned the choice to maintain Adebayo on the bench for the remainder of the sport was precautionary.

“He simply landed awkwardly, however he says he feels fantastic,” Spoelstra mentioned. “We’ll see after we get again to Miami. However as you noticed, he was in a position to be on the market the entire remainder of the best way (on the bench). I simply wished to ensure it did not go, any worse, so I simply sort of sat him from there.”

The Warmth are 0-5 heading into Friday’s preseason finale at house towards the Memphis Grizzlies. Miami opens up the common season on Oct. 22 on the Orlando Magic.

A 3-time All-Star and five-time All-Defensive workforce choice, Adebayo averaged 18.1 factors, 9.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 78 video games (all begins).
