Tremendous Bowl halftime performer arrested for disrupting efficiency with ‘Sudan and Free Gaza’ flag: Police

The Tremendous Bowl halftime performer who allegedly displayed a flag throughout Kendrick Lamar’s halftime efficiency, which learn the message “Sudan and Free Gaza,” was arrested by the Louisiana State Police on Thursday.

Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, of New Orleans, allegedly displayed the flag and did not adjust to safety on the scene, who instructed him to cease.

He was allowed to be on the sector, however not allowed to show the flag, police stated.

The incident occurred on Feb. 9 when New Orleans hosted Tremendous Bowl LIX on the Caesars Superdome.

Louisiana State Police stated that Nantambu allegedly “deviated from his assigned function, retrieved a Sudanese flag bearing the message ‘Sudan and Free Gaza,’ and disrupted the halftime present by working throughout the sector with the flag.”

“Safety and regulation enforcement personnel on web site rapidly acknowledged the unauthorized motion and apprehended the performer after he refused to adjust to their instructions to cease,” police stated.

Following the occasion, an arrest warrant was obtained for Nantambu by the Orleans Parish Legal District Court docket, police stated.

Nantambu, along with his lawyer, surrendered himself on Thursday to police underneath expenses of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by interruption of a lawful meeting.
