To the editor: Effectively, three of the “Incredible 4” U.S. senators working to defeat the Republicans’ massive, unhealthy invoice had America’s again: Ms. Incredible (Sen. Susan Collins of Maine), Human Torch (Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky) and The Factor (Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina). However Invisible Lady — Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) — was nowhere to be seen (“By a single vote, Trump’s megabill passes the Senate,” July 1).

So who will probably be Crew America’s superheros within the Home of Representatives to avoid wasting the U.S. from the (already) crushing nationwide debt, lack of (already subpar) healthcare, disappeared meals help, devastated state budgets, decimated training funding, declining bond rankings, extra soiled vitality and local weather air pollution and the fascistic pursuit, disappearing, jailing and deportations of projected tens of millions of individuals we reside amongst (together with one of many nicest, most useful and hardest working individuals I’ve ever identified, who has already self-deported)?

Nothing to have a good time this Farce of July as America enters the 250th yr of its, for now, declining existence.

Gregory Wright, Sherman Oaks

To the editor: Effectively, right here we’re on the precipice of President Trump’s “Huge Lovely Invoice.” An estimated 11.8 million individuals might lose healthcare with the cuts to Medicaid. For what, you ask? Reducing the federal deficit? Nope.

On the contrary, to lift the deficit $3 trillion over the subsequent decade. For what, you ask? Serving to working-class People? Nope. The tax cuts disproportionately profit high-earning American households, with the company tax cuts notably benefiting the richest of the wealthy.

The reality be informed, from Day 1, Trump has completed by and enormous the precise reverse of what he mentioned he’d do for the working class.

Marty Foster, Ventura
