Suicide bombers in northwest Pakistan kill a minimum of 3 at safety pressure headquarters

Two suicide bombers attacked the headquarters of a safety pressure in northwestern Pakistan on Monday morning, killing a minimum of three officers, police and rescue officers mentioned.

The assault passed off in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, mentioned metropolis Police Chief Saeed Ahmad.

He mentioned one attacker detonated his explosives on the major gate of the provincial headquarters of the Federal Constabulary, whereas the second bomber was shot and killed by officers close to the parking space.

He mentioned a swift response by safety forces prevented extra casualties and the scenario was shortly introduced underneath management.

No group instantly claimed accountability for the assault.

Nonetheless, the Pakistani Taliban, also referred to as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, have been blamed for related earlier assaults within the nation, which has witnessed a surge in militant assaults.

The assaults have strained ties between Islamabad and Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities, with Pakistan accusing the Pakistani Taliban of working freely inside Afghanistan for the reason that Taliban takeover in 2021.
