An interesting report emerged on a former AEW star who recently signed with WWE. Danhausen was part of AEW from 2022 until February 2026. Despite his popularity, Tony Khan kept him off TV for some reason. He wasn’t seen on TV since 2023. Originally, his contract was supposed to end in December last year. However, the AEW President extended his deal by adding injury time. It was then reported that his contract would end sometime in February.

The Very Nice Very Evil teased his AEW exit ahead of the Elimination Chamber 2026 on February 28. Surprisingly, later that same night, he debuted at the Premium Live Event. For weeks, WWE has been teasing a mystery star to appear from the giant crate that was suspiciously delivered to them. The Kid Gorgerous came out of the box. Fans have been wondering if the global sports entertainment juggernaut contacted Danhausen before his ongoing deal expired.

Recently, Fightful addressed the issue and clarified that there was no contract overlap when WWE signed the Very Nice Very Evil. Danhausen’s contract expired on February 28, and then WWE discussed his arrival.

Triple H commented after Danhausen’s WWE debut at Elimination Chamber

The Very Nice Very Evil received mixed reactions from the fans. After the initial pop, the Chicago crowd briefly booed him, expecting a bigger surprise.

After the Premium Live Event, Triple H commented on Danhausen’s debut. The CCO said that fans are going to have a blast with whatever’s in store for the Kid Gorgeous’ run in the global sports entertainment juggernaut.

“Commenting on the crate and Danhausen. Michael Cole got a nice bucket of teeth. I think we’re in for a fun time. Whatever it is is gonna be a blast,” Triple H said.

The former AEW star is also scheduled to appear on RAW tonight. Fans are eager to see what the Very Nice Very Evil star has to offer to the Stamford-based promotion.
