The Dallas Cowboys took cornerback Caleb Downs with the No. 11 pick in the 2026 NFL draft. On Saturday, the Cowboys shared Downs’ first pictures in their uniform, donning the jersey No. 13.

Downs began his college career at Alabama in 2023. He transferred to Ohio State in 2024, and won the national title in his first year at the program.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott heaps praise on rookie Caleb Downs
In his short time with the Cowboys so far, Caleb Downs has made a strong impression on quarterback Dak Prescott.
“I love that way that’s he wired and I’m excited for him,” Prescott said about Downs on Friday. “He’s got some great vets, whether it be myself to ask questions to or great vets on that defensive side now to help make sure that he gets off to a great start.”
The Cowboys have not made the postseason in the past two seasons. They will hope that Downs can add stability to the team’s defense to make a push for the playoffs in the 2026 season.
