A released WWE star has shared a huge regret involving Bron Breakker. The second-generation star is currently out of action following a surgery for a serious hernia.

Before this unfortunate development, Breakker appeared primed for a top match at WrestleMania 42 to continue his upward trajectory on Monday Night RAW.

The 28-year-old has been seen as a big future prospect since his NXT days. During his time in WWE developmental, he won the NXT Championship twice and also had a reign as the brand’s Tag Team champion.

The tag team title run came alongside former WWE star Baron Corbin. After competing in a match against each other at No Mercy 2023, the duo teamed up to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2024. They went on to beat Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.

A post on X reflected on this unique tag team, and it drew the attention of former WWE star Tom Pestock, aka Baron Corbin. The post led Corbin to wonder what could have been had the team been kept together on the main roster, either on RAW or SmackDown.

“If only we could have taken it to Raw or SD,” he wrote.

Shortly after losing the NXT Tag Team Championship to Axiom and Nathan Frazer, Bron Breakker was called up to the main roster and joined SmackDown. He then moved to RAW in the draft of 2024 and soon captured the Intercontinental title.

Meanwhile, Corbin wrestled his final match in NXT against Lexis King and was moved to SmackDown later. He kept floundering on the card until his release on November 1, 2024.

Paul Heyman said Bron Breakker will come back hungrier than ever

Before his surgery for hernia, Bron Breakker was reported to be heading for a match against Seth Rollins at the Show of Shows in Las Vegas.

However, with him being sidelined, those plans appear in jeopardy. During an appearance on the Busted Open podcast, Paul Heyman, Breakker’s manager on RAW, said The Vision member will come out of this setback “hungrier than ever.”

Heyman said being out of action at this time of the year, especially with the spotlight firmly on him, will eat Breakker up alive, and that is a good thing, as it will serve as motivation for him.
