Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player Manish Pandey pulled off a blinder to dismiss Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Tim David in the IPL 2026 match in Raipur on Wednesday, May 13. The 36-year-old dived to his left to complete a one-handed catch and held after falling onto the ground, leaving David stunned.

Pandey put his athleticism on display in the 18th over of RCB’s run chase. Kartik Tyagi bowled a short delivery outside off, and David played it towards backward point from his back foot. The fielder flew to his left to pull off the stunning catch. The TV umpires took a closer look before calling it fair and adjudging it as out. Even Virat Kohli congratulated Pandey for taking one of the best catches of the season.

Watch the video below:

For the unversed, Manish Pandey is among four players from the 2008 batch (inaugural season) to participate in the 2026 season. Others are Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians), Virat Kohli (RCB), and MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings). The Kolkata-based franchise bought him for INR 75 lakh at the 2026 auction.
