A major title match took place tonight on WWE SmackDown. New champions were crowned tonight.

The women’s tag team division has been heating up in recent weeks. Several teams have all been vying for a title match. The Kabuki Warriors, Rhiyo, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and Lash Legend and Nia Jax have all been in the title picture. Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY won the Women’s Tag Team Titles on the 5th January episode of WWE RAW from the Kabuki Warriors. Since winning the titles, they have been busy fighting off challengers from all directions. Rhiyo defended the titles against Judgment Day at Saturday Night’s Main Event and then against Giulia and Kiana James on the 6th February episode of SmackDown.

In recent weeks, the Irresistible Forces have wanted a title shot against Rhiyo. These two teams first locked horns on the 13th February episode of WWE SmackDown. However, the match ended in a no-contest. Tonight on the blue brand, Nia Jax and Lash Legend got a rematch for the titles. The Irresistible Forces put on an incredible performance against the champions and managed to win the tag titles.

It will be interesting to see if Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will continue to remain a tag team after tonight’s loss.
