We’ve been tracking the price of the new MacBook Air M5 since it was released earlier this year. $949 is the lowest price we’ve seen, so the latest $999 deal is not a record low. But we still think you should carefully consider this deal, because prices are seemingly on the rise.

This $999 deal is now only available for the midnight and sky blue models. How long will these colorways stay at this discounted price? We can’t say for sure, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see prices climb ahead of Prime Day. We’re not accusing Amazon of sneakily raising prices so that Prime Day deals look better. We would never do that.
