To the editor: If we’re to have significant immigration reform, which hasn’t occurred for practically 40 years, each side of the aisle should take part (“Democrats, taking part in protection on immigration, see a flicker of hope in new polls,” July 17). Republican Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar of Florida has launched a invoice referred to as the Dignity Act of 2025, which offers authorized standing to undocumented migrants who meet sure necessities, haven’t any critical prison file, pay restitution and provides 1% of their earnings to the U.S. authorities.
