Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges are officially husband and wife after tying the knot in a romantic ceremony surrounded by friends and family.
Wilson, 33, and Hodges, 30, got married on Sunday, May 10, at the Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, after five years of dating.
“Duck and I were driving backroads in Tennessee and saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave,” Wilson told Vogue in an interview published on Thursday, May 14, of how they settled on the unique venue. She recalled Hodges asking, “‘You wanna get married there?’ I said, ‘Done deal.’ We dropped by, saw the venue, and fell in love with the natural beauty of the cave and the simplicity of the property.”
The ceremony was held outdoors with a waterfall serving as the natural backdrop alongside vintage glass windows that were placed at the altar with wildflowers that matched Wilson’s bouquet.
“You could hear the water trickling down and birds singing, and we had a nice spring breeze,” Wilson recalled. “I arrived in a white horse-drawn carriage and walked down the aisle with my Deddy to join Duck at the altar.”
The Grammy winner ditched her iconic bell bottoms for an elegant custom Oscar de la Renta gown with tiny Japanese cherry blossoms around the neckline and sprinkled throughout the dress.
“The cherry blossom represents living in the moment, and that’s exactly what we did,” Wilson explained, noting that her country roots were represented in her custom-made Golden West Boots with Swarovski crystals.
The groom, whom Wilson met in 2021 on a blind date, chose a green bespoke suit by D. Lacquaniti, a custom bolo, cufflinks and a hat pin created in collaboration with Mud Lowery.

“I have never seen Duck smile as big as he did then,” Wilson revealed, reflecting on the ceremony. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage. We were both anxious to say ‘I do!’”
After the ceremony was officiated by Wilson’s friend and mentor, Wes Williams, the guests joined in for a second line march as they walked to the cocktail hour. The second line tradition is one close to Wilson’s heart as she grew up in Louisiana.

“It was so lovely to have that touch of my home in Louisiana up here in Tennessee,” Wilson shared, noting they did another second line march to the picturesque cave illuminated with string lights for the reception.
How did everyone find their seats? Wilson and Hodges created a wall of tiny cowboy hats with the guests’ names on the hat’s feathers.
The tables themselves were a sight to behold with velvet green chairs, mirrored tables to reflect the cave’s natural beauty and bright, bold flowers like peonies in vases throughout.

The party didn’t stop with the Cajun meal courtesy of chefs from Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up bar. The guests, which included celebrities Luke Bryan, Jelly Roll, Ella Langley, Miranda Lambert, Lauren Alaina and Wynonna Judd, let the cocktails flow as they danced the night away.
“Our family and friends know how to have a good time, and the dance floor was packed all night,” Wilson added. “To close out a perfect evening, Duck and I followed the band through a sendoff line of sparklers and cheering loved ones, climbed into an old white Ford truck and drove off!”
