Netflix has announced a worldwide concert tour for the animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, with a waitlist now open for fans seeking updates on dates and tickets.
Film’s Record-Breaking Success
The production has shattered records as Netflix’s most-watched film following its release last year. Its standout track, ‘Golden,’ secured two Oscars, a Grammy, and two Golden Globes while dominating charts in over 30 countries. The film recently teamed up with McDonald’s for a major collaboration.
Tour Announcement Highlights
Officials revealed the tour during Netflix’s upfront event in New York on May 13. A press release describes it as “a live experience that will bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in spectacular ways.”
Fans can join the waitlist to receive priority information on cities, dates, and tickets later this year.
Executive Comments on the Phenomenon
Amy Reinhard, Netflix’s president of ad sales, highlighted the film’s impact: “Obviously, nothing has captured the world’s attention quite like KPop Demon Hunters. There were sing-a-longs, Halloween costumes, shoutouts at the U.S. Open and Buckingham Palace. There was even a 25 percent spike in flights booked to Korea.”
She added that the film remains Netflix’s top title and noted the partnership with AEG Presents for the tour next year. “The live tour is going to bring fans even closer to the characters and the music that they love, and of course, we want you to be a part of that. We’ll have more information to share about the cities later this year, so stay tuned.”
Stars Address Industry Challenges
The film’s singing stars recently delivered a compelling speech on the pressures faced by women in the music industry while accepting an award.
