Kiefer Sutherland arrested and accused of assaulting ride-share driver, L.A. police say

Actor Kiefer Sutherland, a movie and tv star for the reason that Nineteen Eighties, was arrested Monday after he was alleged to have bodily assaulted and threatened a ride-share driver, police stated.

Sutherland, 59, was arrested at Sundown Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood after officers responded to a report of an assault round 12:15 a.m., Los Angeles Police Officer Kevin Terzes stated by electronic mail Tuesday.

“The investigation decided that the suspect, later recognized as Kiefer Sutherland, entered a rideshare car, bodily assaulted the driving force (the sufferer), and made prison threats towards the sufferer,” Terzes stated.

Sutherland’s representatives didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark Tuesday evening.

Terzes stated the sufferer didn’t maintain any accidents that required medical therapy on the scene and added that an investigation continued.

Sutherland was booked into jail just a little after 4 a.m. on an unspecified felony cost, based on Los Angeles County jail information. He was assigned $50,000 bail and bonded out about seven hours later, the information present. He was scheduled to seem in court docket Feb. 2.

NBC Los Angeles first reported Sutherland’s arrest.
