The Kentucky Transportation Cupboard is urging motorists to pay attention to lane and ramp closures on the Gene Snyder Freeway beginning Aug. 22.

In accordance with a information launch, the proper lane of Interstate 265 East on the bridge over Bardstown Street can be closed from 7 p.m. Aug. 22 by 5:00 a.m. Aug. 25.

The on-ramp to I-265 East from Bardstown Street southbound can even be closed.

Officers stated the weekend closures are “essential for contract crews to carry out upkeep of the I-265 East bridge” over Bardstown Street.

“Motorists ought to heed signage, use warning, and anticipate journey delays,” officers stated.
