A handwritten note allegedly penned by Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier convicted of sex trafficking, has been unsealed by a judge years after his 2019 death. The document surfaced following his failed suicide attempt in July 2019.

The note states: “They investigated me for months — FOUND NOTHING!!!” It continues, “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!!” The message ends with the underlined words “NO FUN,” followed by “NOT WORTH IT!!”

Discovery and Epstein’s Death

Epstein’s cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, discovered the note after the initial attempt. The following month, Epstein died by suicide in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City at age 66. The note became part of Tartaglione’s criminal proceedings.

The court released the document on Wednesday in response to a petition, bringing new details to light about Epstein’s final days.
