Tennessee Titans operating again Julius Chestnut claims Jacksonville Jaguars punter Logan Cooke threatened to kill him throughout Sunday’s recreation in Nashville.

Early within the fourth quarter of the Jaguars’ 25-3 win, Chestnut delivered a block to Cooke throughout a punt return. Cooke was shaken up on the play and evaluated for a concussion earlier than returning to the sport.

Issues grew to become heated as the 2 gamers squared off once more following one other punt return with 11:49 remaining.

“He stated he would kill me,” Chestnut stated of his interplay with Cooke. “That is what he stated. He got here as much as me and stated he’d kill me. By no means heard that one earlier than. That was unusual. Particularly a punter, you recognize. It was unusual.”

Cooke was not requested about his alleged remarks after the sport.

Cooke, 30, is in his eighth season with the Jaguars, who drafted him within the seventh spherical in 2018. He made his first Professional Bowl final season.

Chestnut, 25, is in his fourth season with the Titans after going undrafted in 2022. He has rushed for 39 yards on 10 carries in 12 video games (no begins) this season.
