Episodes 6 and 7 of In Your Radiant Season aired on March 13 and 14, 2026, on MBC. The drama is helmed by directors Jeong Sang-hee and Kim Young-jae, and stars Lee Sung-kyung and Chae Jong-hyeop in the lead roles.
In Your Radiant Season centers on Sunwoo Chan, a cheerful animator whose life takes an unexpected turn after a mysterious accident. His path crosses with Song Ha-ran, a talented designer who carries unresolved pain from her past.
Believing she once saved his life, Sunwoo Chan feels a strong connection to her. As they grow closer, the two begin to support each other, slowly facing their wounds and finding solace together.
In Your Radiant Season episodes 6–7 recap: Sunwoo Chan comes back to Korea, family tensions erupt, and Ha-ran confesses her feelings
Episode 6 of In Your Radiant Season begins with Sunwoo Chan leaving South Korea for the United States after Ben informs him that the entire animation team has been summoned back due to restructuring and administrative changes. Before leaving, Sunwoo Chan calls Ha-ran, but she is in a meeting and misses the call.
When she learns that he has left, she is heartbroken. Ha-ran soon discovers that all animation projects have been halted because of the restructuring, which explains why Sunwoo Chan has to return to the US. Others also miss Sunwoo Chan including the design team, the coffee shop owner, the café’s dog and the children Sunwoo Chan had befriended.
Determined to move forward, Ha-ran immerses herself in work. At first, she constantly checks her phone, hoping to hear from him. Eventually, she stops looking at it and focuses entirely on work without showing emotion. The design team shifts to a new project, preparing designs for the upcoming season.
Ha-ran’s middle sisters Ha-yeong notice her distress. Later, the three sisters spend the day together supporting one another. Ha-yong, feels discouraged after her design proposal is criticized by Nana Kim’s assistant, while their youngest sister, Ha-dam, faces relationship problems with the boyfriend.
Nana Kim later speaks with Ha-ran about Sunwoo Chan. Ha-ran admits that spending time with him brought back a side of herself she had lost. She says she misses him deeply and regrets only that she has not meet him earlier and that she has been initially rude to him.
As time passes, Ha-ran continues to focus on work while quietly missing him. One day, while working with a colleague, she receives a reminder of a dinner reservation she has once made with Sunwoo Chan at a famous hotel restaurant. Her colleague encourages her to go together but, he soon leaves after receiving an urgent call, leaving Ha-ran alone.
Just as she is about to leave, she runs into Sunwoo Chan. At first she thinks she is imagining him, but soon realizing he is truly there, shr runs to hugs him. Sunwoo Chan explains that he had come as he has promised to meet her that day no matter what.
He also reveals that he has convinced the administration to restart the project, allowing the animation team to return to South Korea. The two share a meal together. Exhausted after days of sleeplessness, Ha-ran later falls asleep.
Later, Sunwoo Chan realizes he left his suitcase at the airport. Ha-ran insists on accompanying him, but he asks her to go home as its snowing and he knows she dislikes the first snowfall. Despite this, she goes to the airport. When he sees her there despite the snowfall, he is surprised.
Ha-ran admits she dislikes snow less now and adds that she does not want to regret if he disappears again. Sunwoo Chan, conflicted but moved, hugs her, saying he is simply returning the hug she gave him earlier. The two return home together holding hands.
The next day design team gathers at the café to celebrate the return of Sunwoo Chan and the animation team. While helping behind the counter, Sunwoo Chan accidentally knocks down a bottle.
The sound triggers a flash of memory involving a hazardous liquid bottle falling and the sound of an explosion. As in previous flashes, he also hears the faint ringing of a small bells of Hyeok-chan’s friend’s bracelets, though he still cannot understand the memory.
The next day, Nana Kim invites Sunwoo Chan to dinner and thanks him for bringing positive change into Ha-ran’s life. She reveals that seven years earlier, after the death of Ha-ran’s boyfriend, Ha-ran falls into deep grief.
Nana Kim has to become strict and push her to focus on work to help her continue living. However, she has not seen Ha-ran truly smile again until Sunwoo Chan has entered her life.
Sunwoo Chan later buys a custom-made pen engraved with Ha-ran’s name after noticing the empty pen slot in her notepad but he hides it in his pocket. He later takes Ha-ran to his grandfather’s pottery exhibition, where they spend time together happily.
As they prepare to leave, Ha-ran realizes she has forgotten to give his grandmother a congratulatory bouquet, so they return to the exhibition hall. There they unexpectedly meet Sunwoo Chan’s father, who has come later because believing Sunwoo Chan not wanting to see him.
Sunwoo Chan confirms that he does not want to meet him and tries to leave. His father insists on talking, bringing back painful memories of the accident. He remembers his father insisting him to continue his studies and dismissing his accident calling it ‘minor’ which leads to a heated argument. Feeling misunderstood, Sunwoo Chan had left home and eventually joins the animation program abroad.
At present their confrontation escalates when his father grabs his arm to stop him, asking him for a chance to talk. In the struggle, they crash into a glass display counter.
The glass shatters, and a shard cuts Ha-ran on the face. Horrified and filled with guilt, Sunwoo Chan yells at his father to leave and himself rushes out of the exhibition hall after asking his grandmother to take care of Ha-ran.
Later, Ha-ran finds a broken watch that belongs to his father and notices doodles on the back similar to drawings she has seen at Sunwoo Chan’s grandmother’s house. She goes to Sunwoo Chan’s home to return it knowing that those doodles belong to him.
When they meet, Sunwoo Chan tells her they should distance themselves because he feels he will only hurt her. Ha-ran refuses and explains that meeting him has slowly changed her painful memories swapping them with happier ones, including the name Chan.
She says she has only received comfort from him and now wants to give it back by being kind to him. Sunwoo Chan warns that if she does that, he might end up liking her even more. When he adds that it may make him greedy, she replies that she is fine with that as well and hugs him to reassure him.
Seeing the cut on her face makes Sunwoo Chan emotional. Feeling guilty as he begins to cry, the two share their first kiss. On that note episode 7 of In Your Radiant Season ends.
In Your Radiant Season is broadcast every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. KST, with episodes 8 and 9 set to air on March 20 and 21. The series is also available for streaming on Disney+.
