A macabre teddy bear that gave the impression to be made out of human pores and skin and was discovered outdoors a Victorville gasoline station over the weekend turned out to be a sensible joke — and the suspected sensible joker has been arrested — based on authorities.

On Monday, Hector Corona Villanueva was arrested on suspicion of submitting a report back to authorities of an emergency, understanding it was false and deliberately planting proof to falsely current it as actual, based on a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Division information launch.

“Incidents comparable to this take up worthwhile emergency sources and put the general public in danger, presumably delaying response time to professional requires service,” based on the discharge. “We want to thank people who reported info that was useful through the investigation of this case.”

On Sunday at 12:07 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Division responded to a name on the AMPM gasoline station on Bear Valley Highway, officers mentioned. Deputies discovered a teddy bear that was product of what appeared like human pores and skin. The San Bernardino County coroner collected the bear and decided it wasn’t product of human stays.

South Carolina artist Robert Kelly of Darkish Seed Creations confirmed in a Fb submit that she was the creator of the bear and had shipped one in every of them to an Etsy buyer in Victorville final week.

The bears within the Fb video Kelly posted have been stitched collectively like a Frankenstein monster with “human pores and skin” and tinged with what gave the impression to be blood.

“No, I didn’t have any data of the consumers intentions nor was I concerned in a prank on the opposite facet of the nation from me,” she wrote.

The bear sells for $165 on the vendor’s Etsy store and is now bought out.
