The FBI on Wednesday was conducting a search of the Fulton County election workplace outdoors of Atlanta.

The county stated the search warrant served by the FBI was for information associated to the 2020 election.

The FBI would solely say it was executing a “courtroom approved regulation enforcement motion,” however final month the Division of Justice introduced it is suing Fulton County for information associated to the 2020 election.

President Trump narrowly misplaced Georgia’s 2020 presidential race by just below 12,000 votes and has repeatedly pushed baseless claims about how the state’s election was carried out.

In its criticism towards Fulton County, the DOJ cited efforts by the Georgia State Election Board to acquire 2020 election supplies from the county.

On Oct. 30, 2025, the criticism says, the U.S. lawyer normal despatched a letter to the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections “demanding ‘all information in your possession attentive to the current subpoena issued to your workplace by the State Election Board.’ “
