Authorities in Edmonton have launched a homicide investigation after firefighters discovered a woman’s body during a house fire in the Boyle Street area.
Details of the Incident
Emergency crews arrived at the scene near 93 Street and 105 Avenue around 5:30 a.m. following reports of the blaze. While battling the flames, responders found the deceased woman inside the residence and immediately notified the Edmonton Police Service (EPS).
Ongoing Probe and Autopsy
The case has been assigned to the EPS Homicide Section. An autopsy scheduled for Tuesday will help determine if the woman died from the fire or prior to its outbreak. Investigators classify the death as suspicious pending further findings.
