Charlize Theron, 50, made a rare public appearance with her eldest child, Jackson, 13, at the Studio City Farmers Market in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Casual Style Amid Sunny Weather
The Oscar-winning actress took advantage of the pleasant sunshine to browse fresh vegetables, including carrots. She opted for an effortlessly stylish look with a white tank top, blue jeans, a grey sweater draped over her shoulders, black boots, and sunglasses.
Theron smiled as she exited the market carrying two bags of fresh produce. Jackson complemented the casual vibe in a blue t-shirt, oversized navy sweatpants, and UGG slippers.

Kids Unimpressed by Hollywood Fame
This outing follows Theron’s humorous revelation on Jimmy Kimmel Live in May, where she shared that her children, Jackson and younger sibling August, 9, show ‘zero respect’ for her acclaimed career.
Laughing, she told the audience: ‘My children have zero respect for me. I don’t know how, it’s just unbelievable. I feel like I’m pretty humble, but every once in a while I’m like there’s a f*****g Oscar right there.’
Theron became the first South African to win an acting Oscar for her Best Actress role in the 2003 drama Monster.
She recounted a recent moment driving past a Mission Impossible poster featuring Tom Cruise: ‘My kids were with me when I shot Old Guard 2, and I worked on this incredibly intricate sequence… Like me fighting helicopters and jumping on this real helicopter and hanging off… And my child yesterday just looked at this poster of Tom Cruise and went, “That’s weird, he looks so much cooler than you did when you were hanging off that helicopter.”‘
She added with a laugh: ‘I was just like, “but I hung off the helicopter, like just some credit.”‘
Adoption and Motherhood Insights
Theron has spoken openly about her choice to adopt, a lifelong priority inspired by her South African upbringing and exposure to local orphanages.
In a 2018 interview, she stated: ‘Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners, that adoption was how my family would look one day. This was definitely not a second option for me. It was always my first.’
More recently, in November 2023, she reflected on single parenthood: ‘(Being) a parent in general is hard… you’re like, “I’m never going to survive this.” And then you get to the other side, you’re like, “Oh my God, this is amazing. I can’t believe I did that”.’
