Details of the Violent Incident

The stabbing occurred in the early hours of March 1, 2026, when two men in their 20s and 30s suffered stab wounds. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening, though one victim sustained a chest stab wound. Both men received hospital treatment.

Police responded after West Midlands Ambulance Service reported a chest stabbing victim at the pub, followed by a second stabbing nearby. Officers confirmed the second victim had also been at the venue earlier. The incident resulted in two charges of wounding with intent under Section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

Arrests and Police Action

Five individuals face arrest on suspicion of violent disorder:

  • A 22-year-old man, also suspected of possessing Class B drugs.
  • A 38-year-old man, also suspected of possessing Class A drugs.
  • A 34-year-old man.
  • Two women, aged 34 and 44.

Sandwell Council’s licensing committee will now examine The Bulls Head’s licence, with powers to suspend or revoke it due to the serious crime and disorder associated with the venue. A senior police officer described the events as involving ‘serious crime and serious disorder’.
