One of many 5 British military horses that broke from their trainers after being spooked and galloped via the streets of London final yr has been retired to the nation.

“Quaker wasn’t capable of return to duties,” Maj. Thomas Stewart stated in a submit on social media. “He had ongoing veterinary care, and it was determined truly that it was greatest for his welfare that he wasn’t going to come back again to us in London.”

The horse has retired to The Horse Belief sanctuary in rural Buckinghamshire, northwest of London, the Ministry of Protection stated in an announcement Saturday.
