DENVER (KDVR) — A South Carolina man drove a Kia Telluride up Black Bear Street on Wednesday and obtained caught, resulting in a closure of the cross.
The San Miguel County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned that till a tow could make it into the realm, the roadway will stay closed as a result of the automobile is unstable and it’s not secure to be pushed round.

Black Bear Street is a widely known roadway that closes every winter because of the climate and is used as an overlanding path for Jeep and different off-roading fans. The roadway begins on the summit of Pink Mountain Go on Freeway 550 and peaks at Black Bear Go, which has an elevation of 12,840 ft, in response to native vacationer businesses.

The car is caught on one of many switchbacks above Bridal Veil Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls Powerplant, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned, which is a one-way space on the roadway. The Kia obtained caught at about three to 4 switchbacks previous the falls when the motive force managed to get his wheels off the facet of the street, leaving the automobile unstable.
