To the editor: If I perceive this accurately, the federal authorities is demanding that California ship a replica of our state’s computerized statewide voter registration listing (“Justice Division sues California, different states which have declined to share voter rolls,” Sept. 25). That might imply that they might have the identify, tackle, date of start, voting historical past and celebration registration of each registered voter in California.

I particularly don’t need my voting historical past and celebration registration going to this vindictive and lawless federal administration.

Dennis Thompson, Santa Barbara

..

To the editor: Why is the U.S. Justice Division diverting a few of its restricted sources to sue state election officers and pressure them to show over delicate private details about each voter, alleging that our U.S. voting programs are stuffed with “rampant fraud and abuse”? Election officers in every state already work onerous to keep up the integrity of their election programs. May this be simply one other President Trump grievance for having misplaced the 2020 election?

Setting apart the truth that consultants have constantly debunked any notion of rampant corruption in our voting programs, the general public remains to be ready to see any fees to again up terminations of a whole lot of hundreds of federal staff for committing “waste, fraud and abuse.”

Richard Dickinson, Richmond Hills, Ga.
