Ted Danson’s lovable newbie investigator Charles Nieuwendyk is again, with a second season of Mike Schur’s A Man on the Inside on the way in which.

Having solved the glittering mysteries of Pacific View Retirement House final season, Charles goes again undercover in Season 2, so we’re aware of eight episodes of Danson’s pleasant snooping model. This time round, he is posing a professor on the prestigious Wheeler Faculty, the place school president Jack Berenger (Max Greenfield) is being blackmailed. Sure, there is a suspicious donation proposed by billionaire alumni Brad Vinick (Gary Cole) to contemplate. No, he isn’t the one suspect.

In a particularly candy casting selection, Mary Steenburgen (Danson’s spouse) performs a possible love curiosity for the widowed Charles, music trainer Mona (Mary Steenburgen). Plus, Stephanie Beatriz returns as Pacific View director Didi, Lilah Richcreek Estrada is again as hard-edged personal investigator Julie, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis returns as Charles’ perpetually involved daughter Emily.

A Man on the Inside is streaming on Nov. 20.
