To the editor: Wow, front-page press on dependancy and psychological well being (“Reiner household tragedy sheds mild on ache of households grappling with dependancy,” Dec. 17). I’m impressed. Thanks, Los Angeles Instances, for shedding mild on what’s a silent killer for households throughout America.

My grandmother lived in state psychological hospitals in Camarillo and Norwalk. My father is a drug addict with psychological sickness, my sister is a drug addict with psychological sickness and the cycle continued. I’ve seen a decline in providers over the past 40 years, beginning with President Reagan within the ‘80s. It’s what contributes to a lot of our homeless inhabitants. Households turn out to be exhausted and run out of choices.

We endure alone, we give our lives.

Let’s cease ignoring the issue that hundreds of thousands of households need assistance with by creating high quality rehab applications and providers and funding analysis for this advanced illness.
