Martha Stewart
My Recipe For a Selfmade Burial …
A Massive Gap in The Floor, and No Coffin For Me!!!

Printed December 6, 2025 2:27 PM PST

50+ & Unfiltered

Martha Stewart says she’s not going into the afterlife in a gauche coffin … as a substitute, she plans on going the identical route as her late horses — composting!

The approach to life guru defined her autopsy plan on a latest episode of the “50+ & Unfiltered” podcast after host Shawn Killinger requested her if she needed to be cremated or buried after she died.

Martha Stewart Through The Years

Stewart tells Killinger she’d quite be composted … explaining when one in all her horses dies, they dig a deep grave on her farm and wrap the horse in a linen sheet earlier than decreasing it gently down, and filling the outlet again up.

Martha says she needs to go there … and, she does not give a darn if Johnny Legislation’s towards it — as a result of it is her property, and it is the best way she needs to go. MS says she does not desire a coffin or something conventional like that, both.

Stewart’s acquired a very long time forward of her, although … particularly after surviving a number of near-death experiences — together with being zapped by lightning on three separate events.

We count on Martha to be round for some time … however, when it’s her time to go, we all know precisely the best way she’s imagining it.
