Arkansas is finalizing negotiations to rent South Florida’s Alex Golesh as its subsequent head coach, a number of media retailers reported on Wednesday.

Golesh, 41, would return to the Southeastern Convention after serving as Tennessee’s offensive coordinator and tight ends coach in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

The Razorbacks need to exchange Sam Pittman, who was fired on Sept. 28 — in the future after the staff dropped a 56-13 choice at house to Notre Dame. Bobby Petrino has served because the interim head coach since Pittman’s departure.

Whereas USF and Arkansas have but to verify the stories, Petrino took to social media to situation a “thanks” word.

Golesh sports activities an 8-3 report this season and 22-15 mark total throughout his three campaigns at USF. He has guided the Bulls to bowl wins in every of his earlier two seasons.

Previous to his arrival in South Florida, the Bulls limped to a 1-11 report in 2022.
