To the editor: I waited in line for hours at Metropolis Corridor to say my piece in regards to the gondola, solely to be shut down (“Los Angeles Metropolis Council votes 12-1 to induce Metro to halt Dodgers gondola venture,” Nov. 12).
Like lots of my neighbors, I confirmed up as a result of this venture means one thing to us: much less site visitors on our streets, cleaner air for our children and higher entry between our group in Chinatown to Union Station and Dodger Stadium.
This isn’t about “shiny renderings.” It’s about actual individuals who dwell season after season with game-day congestion, unsafe streets and a scarcity of funding in our neighborhood. It’s about lastly doing one thing that helps individuals who truly dwell right here.
We must be working collectively to make it occur, not shutting it down for political factors.
