Amy Poehler and her boyfriend, Joel Lovell, had been noticed out and about in Los Angeles earlier this week.
Poehler, 54, typically retains her romance with Lovell underneath the radar. However on Tuesday, November 4, the couple was photographed leaving dinner at Sushi Park, a West Hollywood hotspot, per images obtained by Simply Jared.
For the night out, Poehler wore an informal denim shirt and crimson pants whereas Lovell donned a blue button-down and black pants.
Poehler formally debuted her boyfriend, a podcast editor, through the 2025 Oscars again in March. Posing on the crimson carpet, the Emmy-winning actress and “Good Cling” podcaster rocked a traditional black robe whereas Lovell suited up in a black tux and bowtie.
The duo have been linked since October 2024. Lovell marks Poehler’s first public relationship since comic Nick Kroll, whom she dated from 2013 to 2015.
Beforehand, Poehler was married to actor-comedian Will Arnett. She and Arnett, 55, separated in 2014 after 9 years of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2016. The exes share sons Archie, 17, and Abel, 14.
Arnett has praised the wholesome dynamic that he and Poehler share as coparents.
“It’s been virtually 10 years and my youngsters are so fortunate that Amy is their mom,” he advised The Guardian in 2022. “And I’m so fortunate that we’re such an enormous a part of one another’s lives, much more so than we had been 5 years in the past.”
He referred to as his separation from Poehler “excruciating” at first.
“Simply brutal, brutal, brutal,” he advised the outlet on the time. “I used to be driving to the set [for Arrested Development] someday and I pulled over to the facet of the street and cried for an hour.”
Poehler, for her half, addressed the cut up in her 2014 memoir Sure Please.
“I’m pleased with how my ex-husband Will and I’ve been caring for our youngsters,” she wrote, revealing that she felt “extremely alone” with out her longtime accomplice. “I’m past grateful he’s their father, and I don’t suppose a 10-year marriage constitutes failure. “Our youngest noticed my schedule on the kitchen desk and stated, ‘You’re doing ‘Smartless?’ Does Dad know?’ And I stated, ‘No, don’t say something,’” Poehler stated on the time, to which Arnett replied, “And likewise, Amy and I had been texting final night time about one thing else. Zero [clue].”
