Kaine calls Virginia ‘the perfect purple to blue turnaround’ in US forward of governor election

Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., mentioned Sunday he stays assured forward of his state’s gubernatorial election Tuesday between Democrat former Rep. Abigail Spanberger and Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears after Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin gained in 2021.

“In Virginia, we’re the perfect purple to blue turnaround within the nation,” Kaine advised ABC Information’ “This Week” co-anchor Martha Raddatz.

Kaine’s mentioned his assurance comes from Spanberger specializing in the economic system and the affordability disaster that has impacted tens of millions of People, particularly as the federal government shutdown enters its second month, whereas her opponent has targeted on cultural points.

“Her opponent is operating advertisements on offbeat cultural points that do not actually matter to the most individuals in Virginia,” Kaine mentioned.
