Gavin Newsom targets Fox Information in a $787-million lawsuit

California Gov. Gavin Newsom filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit agains Fox Information on Friday, accusing host Jesse Watters of falsely claiming that Newsom had lied a few cellphone name with President Donald Trump in the course of the dispute over using the Nationwide Guard in Los Angeles.

The lawsuit, for greater than $787 million, filed in Delaware Superior Courtroom, claims that Fox “operates as a propaganda machine for President Trump’s radical right-wing agenda,” citing the almost $800-million settlement that Fox reached with Dominion Voting Techniques in 2023 in reference to the community’s protection of the 2020 election, which Trump misplaced.

“By disregarding primary journalistic ethics in favor of malicious propaganda, Fox continues to play a serious function within the additional erosion of the bedrock rules of knowledgeable consultant authorities,” the lawsuit states. “Setting the file straight and confronting Fox’s dishonest practices are vital to defending democracy from being overrun by disinformation and lies.”
