Donald Trump not plans to meet Vladimir Putin in Hungary, the White Home confirmed.

The US president won’t meet the Russian chief within the “instant future” after a cellphone name between negotiators from each international locations to organize for peace talks turned bitter.

On Thursday, Mr Trump stated he would meet Putin in Budapest as soon as high-level advisers from each side held talks.

Sources advised The Telegraph that Moscow had cancelled plans to carry an in-person preparatory assembly.

Mr Trump meant for officers from either side to convene in Hungary to organize for the summit.

Sergei Lavrov, the Russian international minister, and Marco Rubio, the US secretary of state, spoke by cellphone name on Monday. Based on reviews, the decision didn’t go effectively.

Mr Lavrov is believed to have advised Mr Rubio that Russia wouldn’t settle for freezing the present entrance line in Ukraine within the tense cellphone name.

Nonetheless, on Tuesday the White Home described the decision as “productive”, including: “Due to this fact, a further in-person assembly between the secretary and international minister isn’t mandatory, and there are not any plans for President Trump to satisfy with President Putin within the instant future.”

Mr Lavrov refused to compromise on Moscow’s maximalist place in discussions with Mr Rubio.

“I wish to formally verify: Russia has not modified its place in comparison with the understandings that have been reached through the Alaska summit,” Mr Lavrov advised reporters in Moscow after reviews of his name together with his American counterpart.

Ukrainian and European sources have been buoyed by the Russian refusal to barter amid fears Volodymyr Zelensky could be pressured to cede territory to Moscow as the worth for peace.
