To the editor: A White Home advisor criticizing the choice of Unhealthy Bunny to carry out the halftime present for the Tremendous Bowl (“Anybody calling Unhealthy Bunny un-American wants a geography lesson,” Oct. 4) is paying homage to James Watt (President Reagan’s inside secretary) versus The Seashore Boys. Watt introduced that The Seashore Boys wouldn’t be part of the 1983 Independence Day celebrations on the Nationwide Mall as a result of they attracted what he referred to as the “fallacious component.” He most well-liked somebody extra healthful, like Wayne Newton, who did carry out that day. The criticism was swift and nearly common. Even Nancy Reagan referred to as The Seashore Boys “advantageous, excellent folks.”

To the editor: The notion of Immigration and Customs Enforcement brokers patrolling the 2026 Tremendous Bowl, on the lookout for undocumented residents, is just ludicrous. Initially, what number of undocumented people have $8,600 to whimsically spend on a Tremendous Bowl ticket? Not many, I’d suppose.

Moreover, as a result of ICE is so intent on its round-up mission (and since the Supreme Courtroom just lately cleared the best way for racial profiling), brokers might inadvertently scoop up different followers, similar to Latino CEOs and Latino movie and TV stars in attendance. If ICE does certainly attend, all Latinos there ought to stay alert.
