Snowfall blankets Utah ski resorts amid stormy climate, Guardsman Move closed

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Snowfall is coming down at Utah ski resorts at present, Oct. 4. Guardsman Move has been closed amid the stormy climate, in accordance with the Utah Dept. of Transportation (UDOT).

“As a result of climate situations Guardsman Move can be closed at present,” UDOT mentioned. The highway is predicted to reopen Sunday, Oct. 5.

Alta Resort has reportedly obtained six inches of snow as of Saturday afternoon.

Climate situations are additionally inflicting flooding in northern Utah.

“This storm has the potential traits of a 100-year storm, bringing heavy rainfall,” Tooele County mentioned in a press release Saturday morning. “Emergency response crews from Tooele County, Tooele Metropolis, and the Stansbury Park Service Company are actively responding to a number of experiences of flooding and storm-related impacts.”
