An explosion and fireplace rocked a refinery in El Segundo on Thursday night time, inflicting large balls of flames that could possibly be seen for miles.

The reason for the incident was unclear, and officers haven’t supplied any particulars.

The orange flames and plumes of smoke have been seen for miles within the El Segundo and South Bay space and fireplace personnel have been on scene capturing streams of water on the fireplace.

The hearth appeared to interrupt out on the Chevron facility.

In north Redondo Seashore, a large orange glow was seen and smoke was billowing throughout the sky Thursday night time.“

Julian Reese, 13, mentioned he and his dad felt a serious blast simply after 9:30 p.m. after which ran exterior, seeing the flames fill the sky.
