To the editor: Again in 2020, President Trump requested his prime well being officers to review the efficacy of injecting bleach into the human physique as a way of combating COVID. This week, Trump publicly endorsed the unscientific conclusion that pregnant ladies taking Tylenol causes autism (“Trump blames Tylenol for autism, dismaying consultants,” Sept. 22).

Years in the past, I dressed up as a health care provider for Halloween. Regardless of it solely being a dressing up, I nonetheless know the distinction between actual medical outcomes and off-the-wall theories. If solely the president knew as properly.

To the editor: Trump has assembled a crack staff of Cupboard members and so they have single-handedly answered the decades-old query of what causes autism. However the dearth of precise proof, they’ve decided Tylenol is at the very least partially responsible for rising charges of autism. There have been tons of of research on the genetics of autism and no robust conclusions about Tylenol being related past informal hyperlinks.

It appears to me that Trump is so determined to achieve approval that he’s keen to say something that makes him look sensible. If he actually needed to do this, maybe he may’ve realized learn how to accurately pronounce acetaminophen earlier than giving a press convention in regards to the drug.
