In 1984, a movie premiered that may deliver the mockumentary format into the mainstream. Parodying music documentaries equivalent to The Music Stays the Similar (1976) and The Final Waltz (1978), it could go on to be a large cult basic, inspiring such reveals as The Workplace, Parks and Recreation, and Fashionable Household. This movie was known as That is Spinal Faucet, a pretend documentary following a band struggling to remain collectively amidst the trials and tribulations of musical success within the early Eighties. One problem they proceed to face: All of their drummers find yourself useless underneath hilariously mysterious circumstances. For many years, followers have yearned for a follow-up movie. And eventually, 41 years later, we’ve got the long-awaiting sequel, Spinal Faucet II: The Finish Continues.

To advertise the movie, the celebs and creators of the movie — Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Visitor), David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer), and Marty DiBergi (Rob Reiner) — carried out interviews totally in character. And Mashable Govt Producer Mark Stetson took this as a chance to parody their parody, making a mockumentary of his personal.

This brief movie follows “documentarian” Mark St. Etson, whose father died like so many Spinal Faucet-inspired drummers earlier than him — by spontaneously combusting. So Mark confronts the band about taking duty for his or her now-12 useless drummers. Does Mark discover the peace he’s on the lookout for from the band?
