In 1984, a movie premiered that may deliver the mockumentary format into the mainstream. Parodying music documentaries equivalent to The Music Stays the Similar (1976) and The Final Waltz (1978), it could go on to be a large cult basic, inspiring such reveals as The Workplace, Parks and Recreation, and Fashionable Household.
