Democrats, too, stated they’re nervous about home terrorism threats.

“Home terrorism retains me up at evening,” stated Rep. André Carson, D-Ind.

“I wish to work with my Republican colleagues and the regulation enforcement neighborhood and activists and folks of goodwill in preserving our neighborhood protected.”

Rep. Ritchie Torres, R-N.Y., stated, “I fear within the age of social media. I feel we’re witnessing the rise of violent extremism and home terrorism each at dwelling and overseas.”

Torres added that “the security of public figures can now not be taken with no consideration.”

“I’ve misplaced an incentive to do public occasions with out in depth security precautions,” he shared. “I think that nervousness is weighing closely on each member of Congress.”
