The workplace of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas urged the U.S. authorities on Saturday to reverse its determination to revoke his visa, weeks earlier than he’s meant to look on the United Nations’ annual assembly and a world convention about making a Palestinian state.

The Palestinian Authority denounced the visa withdrawals as a violation of U.S. commitments because the host nation of the United Nations.

Abbas has addressed the Common Meeting for a few years and customarily leads the Palestinian delegation.

“We name upon the American administration to reverse its determination. This determination will solely enhance stress and escalation,” Palestinian presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh advised The Related Press in Ramallah on Saturday.

“We’ve been involved since yesterday with Arab and international nations, particularly these immediately involved with this concern. This effort will proceed across the clock,” he stated.

He urged different nations to place strain on the Trump administration to reverse the choice.

EU nations again Palestinian chief

French Overseas Minister Jean-Noël Barrot protested restrictions on entry to the U.N. Common Meeting, and stated he would focus on the problem with EU counterparts.

“The United Nations headquarters is a spot of neutrality, a sanctuary devoted to peace, the place conflicts are resolved,” he stated Saturday. “The UN Common Meeting … can not undergo any restrictions on entry.”

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated he spoke with Abbas on Saturday to inform him that Madrid helps him and referred to as the visa denial “unjust.”

“Palestine has the correct to make its voice heard on the United Nations and in all worldwide boards,” he stated on X.

The transfer by the U.S. got here because the Israeli army declared Gaza’s largest metropolis a fight zone. Israel says Gaza Metropolis stays a stronghold of Hamas.
