Labor Day is a reminder of the labor motion of the late nineteenth century when 1000’s of Individuals protested and fought for fairer, extra equitable labor legal guidelines and workplaces.

This 12 months’s federal vacation is not any completely different as unions are challenged with defending their members from the Trump Administration’s immigration raids, cuts in Medicaid companies and a weakened Nationwide Labor Relations Board.

Organizers have put collectively the nationwide protest “Employees over Billionaires,” calling it a “refusal to let billionaires slash care, scapegoat immigrants, raid public {dollars}, and divide working individuals for revenue.” In June, tens of 1000’s of demonstrators confirmed up for “No Kings” protests throughout Southern California.

Here’s a checklist of the deliberate protests within the Los Angeles space slated for Monday. An entire checklist of the collective actions might be discovered on the Could Day Robust web site.
