The White Home is pushing to rebrand the Pentagon, confirming Saturday plans to rename the Division of Protection the Division of Struggle, The Wall Road Journal first reported.

The Division of Struggle was established by Congress in August 1789 to supervise the operation and upkeep of the army branches. After a quick identify change to the Nationwide Navy Institution after World Struggle II, it was modified to the Division of Protection.

White Home deputy press secretary Anna Kelly informed Fox Information the change comes amid a restoration of U.S. army values.

“As President [Donald] Trump mentioned, our army needs to be centered on offense — not simply protection — which is why he has prioritized warfighters on the Pentagon as a substitute of DEI and woke ideology,” Kelly wrote in a press release. “Keep tuned!”

RENAMED DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE COMING ‘SOON,’ TRUMP SAYS

The announcement comes days after Trump mentioned the identify change would occur “over the following week or so.”
