After a one-year absence from the IndyCar Collection, Romain Grosjean is optimistic about his return.

The 39-year-old Swiss-born Frenchman has spent this season as a reserve driver for Prema Racing.

“I miss racing IndyCar,” he instructed RACER. “There is not any doubt about it. I would love to do extra. After I converse to some groups, they are saying, ‘We want cash.’ And I say, ‘Yeah, I am sorry, that is my job, and after I do my job, I receives a commission.'”

After racing in Components 1 (2009, 2012-20), Grosjean joined the IndyCar Collection and drove for Dale Coyne Racing (2021), Andretti Autosport (2022-23) and Juncos Hollinger Racing (2024). Juncos went with drivers Sting Ray Robb and Conor Daly for the 2025 season.

“My worth is on monitor,” Grosjean mentioned. “My worth is to get a workforce the place it must be. I’m not good at bringing sponsors. I am not good at discovering sponsors. However I am good at taking a race automobile and a workforce and placing it the place it belongs. So I am hoping that somebody’s going to comprehend that and provides me an opportunity to come back again.”

Grosjean made six podiums and received three poles in 64 races within the IndyCar Collection.
