Australian Nick Kyrgios withdrew from the U.S. Open for the third straight 12 months on Thursday.

Wrist, ankle and knee accidents have saved the previous Wimbledon finalist largely out of motion since 2023.

Kyrgios, 30, is simply 1-4 in singles matches this season and has dropped to No. 644 within the ATP rankings.

A seven-time winner on the ATP Tour, Kyrgios peaked at No. 13 in October 2016. He has earned greater than $12.6 million in prize cash.

He misplaced to Novak Djokovic within the 2022 Wimbledon closing earlier than reaching the quarterfinals on the U.S. Open that 12 months, his highest end there.
