To the editor: How disappointing that the Home Subcommittee on Conservation, Analysis, and Biotechnology couldn’t discover it inside themselves to go U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu’s (D-Torrance) invoice banning glue traps (“Cute nice horned owl rescued from sticky, lethal entice. Will it fly once more?,” Aug. 16). That the nice folks on the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Middle have rehabilitated 8,600 injured animals is however a drop within the bucket.

Even when one dislikes rodents, there is no such thing as a have to torture them to loss of life. This invoice needs to be reintroduced with a purpose to shield each wild animals and home pets.

Rita and Stephen Burton, Cambria
